Across TCGA patient cohorts, RPL36 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 9,206 significant associations in total. PDAC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible RPL36-associated genes across cancer lineages are CXCR1, CEACAM3, and FCGR3B. Each is linked with RPL36 in more than 5 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both RPL36-to-partner and partner-to-RPL36 results are reported.
