Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL35P8 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL35P8’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where RPL35P8 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL35P8 is over-expressed in tumor.

COAD, LIHC, and LUSC are the cancer types where RPL35P8 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
