Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL26P31 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL26P31’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD), where RPL26P31 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL26P31 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LIHC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
PRAD, LIHC, and KIRP are the cancer types where RPL26P31 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
