Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL23P8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated RPL23P8 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher RPL23P8 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RPL23P8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
LIHC, CESC, and PRAD are the cancer types where RPL23P8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
