Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL23AP95 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL23AP95’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where RPL23AP95 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL23AP95 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BLCA, HNSC, and STAD are the cancer types where RPL23AP95 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
