Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL23AP16 RNA is linked to patient survival in 15 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RPL23AP16 data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher RPL23AP16 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RPL23AP16 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and DLBC show a favorable association.
MESO, ESCA, and KICH are the cancer types where RPL23AP16 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
