Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL23AP14 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL23AP14’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where RPL23AP14 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL23AP14 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and STAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, THCA, and LUAD are the cancer types where RPL23AP14 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
