Across TCGA patient cohorts, RPL22 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 14,216 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible RPL22-associated genes across cancer lineages are CTSG, PTPRB, and TAL1. Each is linked with RPL22 in more than 7 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both RPL22-to-partner and partner-to-RPL22 results are reported.
