Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL21P67 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL21P67’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where RPL21P67 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL21P67 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and BLCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, BRCA, and BLCA are the cancer types where RPL21P67 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
