Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL21P32 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 6 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL21P32’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where RPL21P32 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL21P32 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, KIRC, and BRCA are the cancer types where RPL21P32 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
