Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL21P111 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL21P111’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where RPL21P111 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL21P111 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, THCA, and LIHC are the cancer types where RPL21P111 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
