Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL12P50 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL12P50’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where RPL12P50 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL12P50 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LIHC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
STAD, COAD, and PRAD are the cancer types where RPL12P50 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
