Across TCGA patient cohorts, RPAIN protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 7,994 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible RPAIN-associated genes across cancer lineages are FXR2, TTC19, and METTL16. Each is linked with RPAIN in more than 5 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both RPAIN-to-partner and partner-to-RPAIN results are reported.
