Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ROPN1B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 9 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ROPN1B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where ROPN1B RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ROPN1B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, THCA, and BRCA are the cancer types where ROPN1B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
