Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU7-41P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU7-41P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where RNU7-41P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU7-41P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUSC and KIRC are the cancer types where RNU7-41P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
