Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU7-23P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU7-23P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where RNU7-23P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU7-23P is over-expressed in tumor.
LUSC and BRCA are the cancer types where RNU7-23P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
