Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6ATAC4P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6ATAC4P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where RNU6ATAC4P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6ATAC4P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUSC, COAD, and KIRC are the cancer types where RNU6ATAC4P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
