Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6ATAC3P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6ATAC3P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), where RNU6ATAC3P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6ATAC3P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
CHOL, LUSC, and BLCA are the cancer types where RNU6ATAC3P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
