Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6ATAC34P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6ATAC34P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where RNU6ATAC34P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6ATAC34P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
HNSC, STAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where RNU6ATAC34P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
