Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6ATAC29P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6ATAC29P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where RNU6ATAC29P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6ATAC29P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC are the cancer types where RNU6ATAC29P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
