Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-903P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-903P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where RNU6-903P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-903P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUAD and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUAD, THCA, and LUSC are the cancer types where RNU6-903P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
