Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-828P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-828P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD), where RNU6-828P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-828P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as PAAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
PAAD, LUAD, and READ are the cancer types where RNU6-828P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
