Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-799P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-799P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where RNU6-799P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-799P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUSC, THCA, and KIRC are the cancer types where RNU6-799P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
