Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-633P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-633P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where RNU6-633P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-633P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUAD and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUAD, LUSC, and BRCA are the cancer types where RNU6-633P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
