Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-39P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-39P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where RNU6-39P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-39P is over-expressed in tumor.
BRCA, LUAD, and HNSC are the cancer types where RNU6-39P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
