Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-353P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-353P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in rectum adenocarcinoma (READ), where RNU6-353P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-353P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as READ and HNSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

READ, KICH, and LUAD are the cancer types where RNU6-353P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
