Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-195P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-195P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in rectum adenocarcinoma (READ), where RNU6-195P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-195P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as READ show the opposite, repressed pattern.
READ, CHOL, and PRAD are the cancer types where RNU6-195P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
