Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-1285P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-1285P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), where RNU6-1285P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-1285P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
CHOL, BRCA, and LUSC are the cancer types where RNU6-1285P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
