RNU6-1098P

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-1098P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-1098P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where RNU6-1098P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-1098P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, KIRC, and CHOL are the cancer types where RNU6-1098P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
