Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-1077P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 8 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-1077P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where RNU6-1077P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-1077P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
HNSC, KICH, and BRCA are the cancer types where RNU6-1077P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
