Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU4ATAC9P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU4ATAC9P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where RNU4ATAC9P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU4ATAC9P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA and BRCA are the cancer types where RNU4ATAC9P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
