Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU4-8P RNA is linked to patient survival in 18 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RNU4-8P data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher RNU4-8P RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RNU4-8P expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and CESC show a favorable association.

MESO, THCA, and KICH are the cancer types where RNU4-8P RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
