Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU1-74P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU1-74P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where RNU1-74P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU1-74P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BLCA and KIRP are the cancer types where RNU1-74P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
