Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU1-18P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU1-18P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where RNU1-18P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU1-18P is over-expressed in tumor.
BRCA are the cancer types where RNU1-18P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
