Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU1-101P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU1-101P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where RNU1-101P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU1-101P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC are the cancer types where RNU1-101P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
