Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNF2P1 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNF2P1’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where RNF2P1 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNF2P1 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRP, KICH, and HNSC are the cancer types where RNF2P1 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
