Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNASE4 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated RNASE4 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher RNASE4 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RNASE4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and HNSC show a favorable association.
CESC, SKCM, and LIHC are the cancer types where RNASE4 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
