Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNA5SP79 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNA5SP79’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where RNA5SP79 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNA5SP79 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LIHC, BRCA, and CHOL are the cancer types where RNA5SP79 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
