Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNA5SP342 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNA5SP342’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where RNA5SP342 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNA5SP342 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as PRAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
HNSC, LUSC, and PRAD are the cancer types where RNA5SP342 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
