Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNA5SP284 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNA5SP284’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where RNA5SP284 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNA5SP284 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and STAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BLCA, HNSC, and LUSC are the cancer types where RNA5SP284 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
