Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNA5SP139 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNA5SP139’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where RNA5SP139 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNA5SP139 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, KICH, and LUAD are the cancer types where RNA5SP139 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
