Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNA5SP118 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 9 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNA5SP118’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where RNA5SP118 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNA5SP118 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRP, KIRC, and CHOL are the cancer types where RNA5SP118 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
