Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNA5SP115 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNA5SP115’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where RNA5SP115 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNA5SP115 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, THCA, and LUAD are the cancer types where RNA5SP115 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
