Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RN7SKP179 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RN7SKP179’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where RN7SKP179 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RN7SKP179 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
HNSC, THCA, and STAD are the cancer types where RN7SKP179 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
