Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RGS7 RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RGS7 data layer compared with 10 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher RGS7 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RGS7 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and PAAD show a favorable association.
BRCA, PAAD, and UCS are the cancer types where RGS7 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
