Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RFPL1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 18 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RFPL1 data layer compared with 7 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher RFPL1 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RFPL1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and LUSC show a favorable association.
HNSC, KIRC, and LUSC are the cancer types where RFPL1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
