Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RESP18 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RESP18’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in rectum adenocarcinoma (READ), where RESP18 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RESP18 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as READ and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
READ, COAD, and STAD are the cancer types where RESP18 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
