Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RANBP10 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RANBP10’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where RANBP10 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RANBP10 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and LUAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, KIRP, and COAD are the cancer types where RANBP10 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
