Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RAN Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated RAN data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher RAN Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RAN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM, LUAD, and COAD are the cancer types where RAN Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
