Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RAD23A RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RAD23A’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where RAD23A RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RAD23A is over-expressed in tumor.

KIRC, HNSC, and KIRP are the cancer types where RAD23A tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
